The article that appears here has its immediate antecedent in a previous work (the Vidals, 2008d) in which sketched a first approach to the form in which the relation between the semiotics and the studies of the communication has settled down. Then it was argued perhaps that some common places on the semiotics and the study of the communication could have a similar origin that goes back to the Seventies and eighty with the works of Umberto Echo and those of Irui M. Lotman, which already had raised a bow of interdependence between semiotics, culture and communication. Nevertheless, far from being able to establish a present state of the semiotics of the culture or the reflections on the culture within the studies of the communication, that first approach demonstrated one double problematic one: first, the reduction of the semiotics of a general logic to a methodologic tool in the studies of the communication product of the confusion in the use of the concepts and happened conceptual lexapro for sale s of the semiotics and; and secondly more important, it demonstrated the consequences of the incorporation to the semiotics of the systemic thought. From this second recognition the central argument is born that is developed here, since the incorporation of the systemic thought has transformed to the culture of a concept of space to a concept of configuration and to the communication of a process of interchange to a product of the progressive complejización of the semióticos systems.
Nevertheless, at the same time as the implications and consequences of the incorporation of the systemic thought are clear the reflection semiotics, it is necessary to recognize one second problematic tie ones the relation of the semiotics with the studies of the communication, relation that has generated a conceptual space of confusion and misunderstandings. As one has already affirmed, as much the works of Umberto Echo as those of Iuri M. Lotman closely are as much the semiotics as to the studies of the communication tie, because what both did it was to raise, from the base semiotics, a form conceptualizar to the communication, arriving both to raise communicative models of analysis like a formal attempt to understand the phenomena not only of communication, but of the culture generally. The previous thing allows to establish the second problem, since it suggests the element of connection between the semiotics and the studies of the communication, is not the recognition of epistemology semiotics for the study of the cultural processes, but the culture and the communication like shared concepts. Therefore, which is maintained here is that the semiotics and the studies of the communication share to the culture and the communication like words, but not like concepts and much less like constructive elements.
On the other hand, although Eco and Lotman share to the communication and the culture as central concepts and to the semiótico frame like general theory, in fact they do not share the same constructive logic. In the first case, both concepts are within the framework developed of a structural theory, whereas in the second case, both are developed from the systemic point of view. This it is a key element to understand not only the later movement of the relation of both programs with the studies of the communication, but, mainly, to understand the origin of some misunderstandings on the incorporation from the semiotics to the studies of the communication. While the culture from the structural program continues working like concept of spatio-temporal contextualisation, from the systemic perspective becomes, happens to be a concept of space to be a configuration concept. And of that the work consists that appears here, that is to say, in recognizing the characteristics of the culture and the communication within the framework of the semiotics of Umberto Echo and in the semiotics of Iuri Lotman in order to study, on the already explicit base of both conceptual systems, the ontological and epistemologic transformation of the culture and the communication as well as some misunderstandings that have taken place in the studies of the communication when these have decided to incorporate to their studies the perspective semiotics. Therefore, these three moments are those that correspond to the three sections in which it is organized the work and which are developed next.

As it has already been mentioned in the presentation to this work, routes to the recognition of the first problematic one referred to the ontological and epistemologic transformation of the culture and the communication, it is necessary to start off to make the conceptual systems and the constructive principles explicit from where it is tried to establish the relation, that is to say, is necessary to as much make the conceptual system explicit of Umberto Echo like the one of fundamental Iuri M. Lotman as well as its concepts and their principles constructivos1. Finally, the third hypothesis is most serious, since it implies to the semiotics not as approach form but as structuring form, like element of organization and configuration of the culture. Although Echo recognizes this third hypothesis like most radical, its later development seems to journey more in this sense, that is to say, than in the analysis, in the construction of a semiótico model of the culture. Of this form, which emerges in the end is, implicitly, a special form of communication.
To speak of the later development of the semiotics of Echo is to speak of its theory of the codes and the production of the signs, proposal that becomes, next to the proposal of Lotman, in an attempt to synthesize and to surpass two extremely different programs, the one of Peirce and the one of Saussure, which becomes evident in its consideration of codiciales systems and sígnica production.
